About us

Chris and Ruth Tosdevin own and operate bulthaup Santa Monica. Chris is the design force, having worked with bulthaup systems for nearly 30 years. He collaborated closely with Gerd Bulthaup -son of Martin Bulthaup who founded the company in 1949- for more than two decades and was an integral part of establishing bulthaup’s presence in the U.S. Ruth compliments Chris’ design passion and skill by overseeing the showroom’s administrative functions. Together, they’ve worked with many of the top contemporary architects and design firms in the U.S. and internationally. Services include: development of design parameters, design concepts, working with project professionals, assisting in the selection of materials and appliances, CAD plans and elevation and detailed mechanical drawings.
