The Holland America line docked just behind the warehouse. It was also the departure point for many emigrants who left to seek their happiness elsewhere in the world. This area has a great attraction for architects, artists, and galleries. bulthaup KNSM has grown over time into a solid company with a good reputation and strong references.
Bulthaup, a German independent family business, is deeply rooted in its history beginning in 1949. We design and realize premium, tailor-made kitchens and living spaces for individual homes and commercial projects all over the world. The showroom of bulthaup KNSM Island is located in an old warehouse at the jetty of the former Royal Dutch Steamboat Shipping company on the IJ in Amsterdam.

More than 30 years of expertise
At the age of 28, owner Milko Wilner starts selling German kitchens, a passion that would grow over the years. He has now been in the business for over 30 years. Milko has put together an innovative team with expertise on the technical front, but also in the field of interior design.
At bulthaup KNSM island, we carefully listen to the wishes of the customer and then convert these wishes into a functional design. The ideal kitchen is created in conversations, but you are also welcome for advice on the furnishing or renovation of the rest of the house.

Ever since I was little, I’ve been visiting my father’s showroom, it’s something I grew up with. I started at bulthaup as a trainee and then I stayed – it’s now a real family business. What I enjoy most about my job is designing a tailor-made plan, designing a whole new interior and sparring with the customer about their wishes.
The function of the kitchen has changed in recent years; it has now become the heart of the house. A place where you have family conversations about your day, have drinks with friends and intimate evenings, this makes it extra important to create a place for everyone.

After the sale, the process of realizing your kitchen begins. We guarantee you the best quality of service and execution, from the beginning of the project to its completion.
Control
For the realization of your kitchen, we share the complete file with our project supervisor, your personal point of contact, to whom you can turn to with any questions. He or she checks the specifications of your kitchen, makes the final installation drawings and orders all parts. During the inspection, sometimes, minor changes are made to improve details to the specification and drawing which will be presented to you.
Planning
We will keep you informed about the current status of your order. After the kitchen has been confirmed by the factory in detail and double checked by us again. You will receive an order confirmation with the final specifications and drawings. This will contain all the items that will be delivered, including any additional agreements on delivery and assembly. This gives you a clear overview of everything and avoids surprises.
Delivery of your kitchen
There it is – your new bulthaup kitchen! When we assemble your kitchen, we handle the installation and usually also the connection of all items purchased from us. No one knows our products better than our bulthaup mechanics. If you have any questions during installation, please contact them.
Final inspection
After installation, your advisor of course will be happy to visit you and see the final result. During this visit, if desired, he will explain the operation of the equipment to you. Any shortcomings will be carefully assessed and dealt with, and any work still to be done will be scheduled. After all, we are not satisfied until you are enjoying your kitchen to your full satisfaction.

From the A10 take exit S114. From the exit you can follow the signs for ‘Artis’ and when you have passed the Piet Hein tunnel, turn left at the end, then the first left again and then left again.
