October at La Ricarda

The arrival of October in bulthaup means the celebration of our annual event in La Ricarda

October came around again, and along with it, the much-awaited visit to Casa Gomis, also known as La Ricarda, the jewel of modern architecture by Antonio Bonet Castellana that is tucked away among the pine groves flanking the beach at El Prat. A gloriously warm autumn morning heightened the appeal of a visit that never fails to captivate.

Touring La Ricarda

The tour of the house, led by Marita Gomis—one of the daughters of the Gomis Bertrand couple, who commissioned the project from Bonet in 1949—and architect Arturo Frediani allowed us to delve back into the magic of this unique home.

Chef Jordi Vilà cooked a paella of seasonal mushrooms and sausages for all attendees.
At the bulthaup event in La Ricarda there was a great parade of appetizers.
All the appetizers were handed once again by Chef Jordi Vilà.
The cheese boards were the protagonists on the tables before the big banquet.
The desserts were also a Jordi Vilà's work.

The appetizers, once again prepared by chef Jordi Vilà, were served in the garden. Vilà served a memorable sequence of dishes, among which the paella with seasonal mushrooms and sausages reigned supreme.

Straw hats were handed out to help us fend off the sun, blazing late in the season. We engaged in relaxed conversations, framed by the stunning outline of the house and its boldly undulating concrete rooftop.

Bulthaup customers, architects and distributors joined us again for a perfect day at La Ricarda.

Heightening the aesthetic and sensory pleasures in life, the gathering turned into the perfect day.
